Republicans: abortion, taxes, war…
Democrats: health, education, peace.
Either way it will cost money. What do we want to buy?
The choice is too easy.

Same night. Fox and CNN. My head is spinning.
On Hannity & Colmes Rick Warren says he is a conservative.
On Larry King he says something about being in the center…
I was confused - then I lost a bunch of hoped-for respect for Rick Warren. Just another mega church preacher. Ick.
Obama looked down, feeling his answers, feeling for the middle. I thought.
McCain looked defiant. Fake. Overly prepared with audience-satisfying answers. Charming. Funny. Desperate to be president. I thought.
I bet he is still pissed off at Bush.
Again with Hannity on the way home. I find him a sad, little minded man. He doesn’t “know enough” about Obama - yet he chooses to believe the worst of him. He knew a lot about Bush - yet he chose to believe the best of him.
I wonder…If Obama turns out to be a great President will Hannity be happy for America?
Boy am I enjoying listening to Hannity and Limbaugh lately. These two are imploding. They are screeching like devils being sucked out of existence. Mostly, hearing Hannity mention the good reverend or Ayers every chance he gets, inspires me to giggle in my car on the drive home from work. Even his guests are shuffling back from him. Gingrich won’t even entirely agree with him. Even the “Architect” Rove, shuffles back from Hannity’s insanity. Amazing really.
Lately Hannity has been trying to push his 10 points for conservatives to follow. I can’t bear to even go to his website to take a look at them - the impression I get is that they are a reworking of Newt’s Contract with America. We all know how that turned out. The man honestly thinks he is a central figure in the presidential race. Narcissistic is too kind a diagnosis.
Today he was (Hannity) saying that nobody has ever pushed a candidate to get out of a race before. Only liberals would do this he says. Does Huckabee count? I seem to remember him staying in the Republican race and receiving much criticism and encouragement to drop out - long after it was apparent he just couldn’t win the nomination.
These two talking heads are terrified, They are facing irrelevancy and quickly. They like fat pied pipers have had a huge hand in leading the masses into the ditch. They and their followers are left with the Republican party they created and their numbers are apparently dwindling fast. Both Hannity and Limbaugh are trying to distance themselves from the “new” McCain and the Republican party with increasingly hysterical rants. (Great fun to listen to that!)
You know when Hannity and Limbaugh are pushing Hillary - something is terribly wrong and rotton in Denmark.
The last year has had crazy changes and even crazier hours at work. The blog sits here and I think constantly I want to put something down in writing. Posterity maybe. More likely for me is to just play with the software and wrap some words around that. Or maybe it is the other way around…
WordPress has changed significantly in the last year - for the better it looks to me. Not that it wasn’t great before, but the changes are sweet! I want to play with the CSS. The credits thing looks interesting.
Not enough time to do everything I want to do.
I must clean my house today. I want to play with this, but I gotta do that. The laundry pile is staggering. Sigh…
I think she is beautiful. Wonderful skin, lively eyes and an engaging smile. Really smart to boot. In other words real and beautiful. Totally easy on the eyes. She used to be the best thing on Tucker. Now I love to catch her on Countdown.
PageOneQ | Rachel Maddow: Out on Air America, shaking up the airwaves
More recently, Maddow has translated her radio success into frequent guest appearances on cable news channels such MSNBC and CNN — including a regular gig as a political analyst on “Countdown with Keith Olbermann.” But Maddow said that success in television, unlike radio, is heavily dependent upon an individuals optics.“I 100 percent believe that the reason that I have not gone further in television is not only because I am gay, but because of what I look like. I am not a Barbie girl with Barbie doll-like looks. Because in television, what you look like is a huge deal,”
If you haven’t read him, you will. This guy is an amazing writer with an incredibly interesting life to tell about. His books are laugh-out-loud funny and completely insane people populate his life.
While I was wrapped up in his life stories - it seems I have learned something about myself and I feel better about everything. Click his name below and then go buy his books. You won’t be sorry.

Magical Thinking
That is just three of his titles. All of them are really wonderful.
Jon Stewert & Stephen Colbert come to mind, this is why they are so funny and relevant. This is also why Fox’s attempted stab(s) at cloning the Comedy Central duo for propaganda purposes don’t work and will never work. It is just not funny to “douse” out of fear. And I believe Fox is afraid of the corner they have painted themselves into. Carrying water for the GOP rather than reporting the news.
James Pinkerton: When Art is Cooler — and More Conservative — Than Politics
…Art doesn’t just imitate life; it reacts to life, it comments on life.
Artists, flashing their fancies and passions, might not commonly be seen as anchors of common sense and prudence. Yet when politicians lose themselves in the pyrotechnics of their own romantic ecstasies, even artists will feel compelled to step in and provide the needed dousing. And that counter-active cooling will likely continue as long as George W. Bush and his white-hot ideology burn in the White House.

God, I hate it when people I really like die. I remember him from The Ghost & Mrs. Muir on TV and later on various TV shows as a guest. Always hilarious. Always sharp as a tack. He was ahead of his time, though I didn’t understand that until I was an adult. Guys like him were groundbreaking. Thank you Charles, for all the laughter. You will be missed.
LOS ANGELES- Charles Nelson Reilly, the Tony Award winner who later became known for his ribald appearances on the “Tonight Show” and various game shows, has died. He was 76.
And this from The Match Game:
Poland probes ‘gay’ Teletubbies - Peculiar Postings - MSNBC.comEwa Sowinska, government-appointed children rights watchdog, told a local magazine published on Monday she was concerned the popular BBC children’s show promoted homosexuality.
…she was quoted as saying: “I noticed (Tinky Winky) has a lady’s purse, but I didn’t realize he’s a boy.”
“At first I thought the purse would be a burden for this Teletubby … Later I learned that this may have a homosexual undertone.”
Parliamentary Speaker Ludwig Dorn said he had warned her against making public comments “that may turn her department into a laughing stock.”
It’s too late. I am laughing.
Forget the part where the 6 year old thanks Jerry Falwell for his life. (This child’s parents apparently informed this 6 year old he was to have been slated for abortion - which is weird and sick to tell a child.)
It is marketing at its best- worst maybe. The religion industry had a plan to sell salvation like beer.
Let’s go back in time to when God was apparently creating satellite’s:

It’s truly rare that a president spends taxpayers’ money to train the enemy to kill U.S. troops. But Bush has pulled it off.~ Andrew Sullivan
