I don’t think it took convincing. It pretty much is a fact (dysfunctional ideology or not) that the Democrats were given a mandate to remove the Republican stranglehold in Washington. Face it - the Republicans have screwed up royally.
She has gotta know that units deploying “fully mission capable” is not riding on the “technicality” of taking custody of heavy equipment “in theater” or anywhere else.
And this woman is for the troops? Spare me.

What the bill doesn’t tell you is that almost all of the units deploying to Iraq today are technically considered not “fully mission capable” until they have arrived in theater and taken custody of the heavy equipment from the unit they are relieving. Moving all those vehicles and parts halfway around the world takes time, manpower, and money. It’s far cheaper and easier to move men, and match them up with the equipment already in place. Which is why we do it that way.
After reading this email exchange I do have concerns about the sanity of Robert Cox. The man and his “staff” have way too much time on their hands. Still, it is an entertaining site.

Ann Coulter wows the capacity crowd with her witticisms such as “we need to execute people like John Walker in order to physically intimidate liberals by making them realize that they could be killed.”
The whole post at Right Wing Watch is eye opening. The nuts have taken over the asylum.
Does it get any more pathetic than Hannity defending his pretty woman with the nasty mouth? Does he not realize that it is not only liberals, the left, or the Democrats who are appalled by this woman? Does he realize that former Klansman means “former” and has nothing to do with Ann and her mouth - that changing the subject does not place her “wit” in a better light?
Republican, conservative, right leaning people from all over are condemning her statement and the woman herself.
She is not a comedian. She *is* angry and brittle. The more she is seen and heard on the air - the more the whole country sees into her character…which is lacking. And, more people see what the “conservative agenda” really means. Selfish, self-absorbed and self-satisfied - the hell with the rest of the people.
Keep inviting her on your show and your Republican events- keep her talking and writing books. She is the best thing to happen to the Democratic party since Dick Cheney.

Mitt Romney’s speech was much like the one at NRI. Coulter followed. I gotta tell you, the lines were longer for Ann than anyone (except Cheney Bolton.) Coulter was hysterical, acerbic but off. A nightmare when she in an attempt to describe John Edwards said something to the effect that you can’t you the word faggot these days without being sent to rehab. WTF?

Campfield had a minor blogswarm awhile back for some rather stupid comments on his blog. I guess he needed to make some more news. Now he wants to collect information on those who choose to have an abortion by having the state require death certificates for the aborted fetus. Somehow I do not think Campfield is a rising star of the GOP.
Tennessee would collect death certificates for aborted fetuses under a bill introduced in the General Assembly.
Rep. Stacey Campfield said his bill would provide a way to track how many abortions are performed in Tennessee. The measure would also likely create public records on which women are having abortions.
“All these people who say they are pro-life — at least we would see how many lives are being ended out there by abortions,” said Campfield, R-Knoxville.

This guy, Donnie Davies, has a list of Gay Bands to watch out for - and the list is incredible - though I didn’t quite “get” the gayness of most on the list. Ok, well Elton John is on the list and notated with “(really gay)” next to his name. Thank God someone told me - who knew?

I hadn’t heard anything about the band for ages so I Googled it up and found a Keanu Reeves fan site. Great gallery of images and an archive of articles and interviews. Mentioned in one interview was the fact that Keanu acted in a Paula Abdul video! YouTube of the Paula/Keanu video below.
